Do your sales apps pay for themselves?

Bundle, upsell and free-gift apps cost money every month. See which ones earn it back and which to cancel, with sales and profit margin stats for each app.

Why merchants like it

Know which apps to keep, and which to cancel

Keep, review or cancelA check-up for every app, with what cancelling would save each month.
Finds your apps by itselfAny app that makes discounts in your store. Nothing to set up.
Honest answersEvery result says how sure it is, and when it's too early to tell.
Reports in your inboxDaily, weekly or monthly, with the apps that need a look.

The problem

Sales apps cost money every month. Few stores know if they earn it back.

Their own dashboards show "influenced sales", not the real extra profit.

💳

You pay every month

Subscriptions and fees add up across apps.

🧾

"Influenced sales" isn't profit

An order may have been just as big without the app.

🎁

Giveaways have a cost

Discounts and free gifts come out of your margin.

How it works

Three steps, from your own orders

1

Find your sales apps

It spots every app that makes discounts or marks your orders.

2

Compare with regular orders

Are orders with the app bigger than regular ones?

3

Keep, review or cancel

Extra profit minus price, fees and free gifts tells you which apps earn their keep.

Statistics

See the trend, and where apps overlap

Sales, profit or orders week by week, with every app in its own colour. And the orders where two apps, or two discounts, meet, so you don't pay twice for one sale.

Two apps on one order both take the credit. If two apps often meet, check whether they do the same job.

How ROI is worked out

Simple maths you can check

For each sales app

  1. Extra sales = (its average order − regular average order) × its orders
  2. Extra profit = extra sales × your margin
  3. App cost = its price for the period + any % fee on its sales + free gifts' cost (optional)
  4. Net gain = extra profit − app cost, and ROI = net gain ÷ app cost
Example: BundleBee, 30 days
Average order €51.00 vs €42.00 regular: +€9.00 × 96 orders = €864 extra sales
× 40% margin = €345.60 extra profit
− €49.00 monthly price = €296.60
Pays for itselfROI +605%

FAQ

Questions about Apps ROI Tracker

Which sales apps does it recognise?

Any app that creates discounts in your store is found by itself. Popular bundle and free-gift apps are also recognised from the markers they leave on orders.

Will it change anything in my store?

No. It only asks Shopify for permission to read orders, discounts, products and your theme settings. It never edits products, prices or orders.

How does it decide if an app pays for itself?

It compares the average order with each app against your regular orders, turns the difference into extra profit using your margin, and subtracts what the app costs you: its price, any fee it takes on sales, and the cost of free gifts if you choose to count them.

Do I need to enter my product costs?

No. If your products have a cost per item, it works out your margin from them. Otherwise you can enter your own margin, or it uses 40% until you do.

How reliable are the numbers?

They come from your own orders from the last 60 days. Every result says how sure it is (Sure, Fairly sure, Could be chance or Too few orders), and when an app needs more time, it tells you about how many more orders and weeks.
